Do you struggle with doing what you’re supposed to do to reach your health goals? Do you have difficulty doing what you know you have to do? I’m going to give you three tips on how to help you along with your health journey in becoming consciously selective.
The first tip is you want to become selective of what you think, what you say, what you watch and what you meditate on. What we think and what we say will determine the course of our life. If you say things that are positive, if you say that you can do the things that you want to do, if you speak positive things about yourself and even about others, there’s a greater chance that you will actually end up doing those things. When we speak things out of our mouth, we actually put forth that energy (either positive or negative) into the universe and the atmosphere. The Bible even says that there’s power in the mouth. The mouth can either speak life or death. You want to speak positive things not negative things. Watch what you say! What you think can also determine the course of your life! If you think you can do something, if you think thoughts that are going to help move you towards your health and wellness goals and if you envision yourself doing the things that you want to accomplish then you will most likely accomplish your goal! Successful people in life such as famous athletes can attest to this. There have been several interviews with successful athletes who say that one of the key things that led to their success was envisioning themselves doing the things that they wanted to do on the basketball court or the foot ball field and picturing all their moves and strategies. Envision and meditate on reaching your goal and doing the things involved with reaching your goals. Fantasize about it. Let yourself daydream about it. If you think you can you can and if you think you can’t then you’re right – you can’t! Become selective of what you do throughout the day. Be selective of who you surround yourself with. Be selective of your environment.
The second tip is take action steps on a daily basis to reach your goals. When you get up in the morning, make a list of what you are going to do that day. What are some things you can do to help yourself achieve your goals? You have to plan your day. Plan what you’re going to do and try to do the most important things first. Also surround yourself with people that are going to be a cheerleader to you and who believe in you. Surround yourself with people who have positive energy – who are going to spur you on.
The third tip is find a coach! We all need a coach. If you look at the most successful people in business, athletics and sports or successful people in any arena in life, they all have a coach of some kind. They all have someone who they can glean from. They all have someone who’s either been where they want to be or someone who has the knowledge and expertise and who are equipped to spur them on, support them and help guide them. This could be a cheerleader or someone who maybe isn’t an expert but they’re cheering you on and motivating you. They’re telling you that you can do it and encouraging you. Lastly, a coach can be a paid professional – someone who has the knowledge and expertise in the area that you’re trying to excel in or achieve.
